No. You're only appearances would be for Ext1 and Ext2. (It's funny, cos on the HSC results sheet for Ext2, they say we assume this candidate would've got band-6 if they did 2 unit. Even people who only manage 70 in Ext2. )

thats the 4u advantage.

Actually if you want appearances on the Merit List, do 2 unit. Because last year, only like 30% of Ext2 people were given 90+. And like 20+ % (or there abouts) of 2 unit were given 90+. And considerin' those that were relatively good, went and did Ext1 or Ext2... that's alot for 2 unit.
