There may be no such thing as a bad subject combo if ur doin all then subjects u like and are good at them...
But what is up with doin 17 units like ppl in J.Ruse? That's just a tad much dont u think?
about my subjects earlier...
German is kinda like english in a way but the sentence structures and all the other grammar stuff is really hard... Ancient History is kinda weird because i dont think we're doin the actual syllibus...French is really easy and chem is gettin harder

I'll probably drop Greman for yr12 and pick up 1 or 2 extensions maybe...
I wish i could do some accerlerated subjects like most of u guys but my school is not into it...Its mad that u can finsh a few units in yr10 or 11 and then concentrate on fewer units in yr12
that would be awesome
anyone thinkin of doin 4u maths, i heard its pretty hard...?

english std is a capped subject. Highest mark is 90 scaled basically. Poor scaling also :|

Maths General - why not mathematics 2unit?

the other subjects are okay.

the best combo is:
Latin Continuers + Latin X = [3U]
Extension 2 Maths = [4U]
ENG ADV = [2U]
Extension 1 English = [3U]
Physics = [2U]
Chemistry = [2U]
Biology = [2U]

========== [18Units]======

IMO, you might find physics a bit hard in year 12 if you do general maths. i knew my friends who did 2 unit maths in year 11 still were struggling physics. some schools i know wont let you do physics unless you have 3 unit maths or you have to be really exceptional at 2 unit. You also might want to give engli adv a go. if you dont like it then you can drop down, but if you find that standard is too easy, then you cant go up. i'd say give yourslef a challenge and if it doesnt work out, then drop down. :)

Out of these 6 subjects, which one do I have to do well in in order to get a UAI of above 80, preferably 90, ?????
to get a good uai, the unis are looking for your consistency in your subs-not one good subject and all the rest crap. you need to balance your subs and show that you can do well in all of them. Log into SAM on this site, type and play around with numbers and see what you get ;)

Does a subject combo really matter? I know that there are science, humanities, and other combos to follow but again does it really matter?
no it doesnt. its whether you do well or not in those subs is what counts

4 unit maths is only hard if you dont put the effort in and work for your marks

yes, some of them even higher then 4 U maths. eg. classical greek
but there are some that are lower then the average in terms of scaling. eg. vietnamese, arabic.
