I am doing ok in English Advanced, and I am wondering whether I have the capability of getting a band 5 or a band 6 in English.

In the past few years, what has been the raw cut-off for a band 5 and band 6 in English Advanced, Paper 2.

Also, what has been the cut-off for the English Paper 1 for a band 5 and band 6.

For a friend of mine, what has been the recent cut-off for a band 5 and band 6 in Standard English, Paper 2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, including from students who even did their HSC 10 years ago, or even for band 3 or band 4 cut-offs.
I want a fair idea of the kind of marks I need to get.

I got a raw mark of 79.5/105 and that scaled to an exam mark of 88.
My assessment mark was 92 and hence I ended up with 90.

Anyway, if you get 80/105 that should equate to a 90 exam mark.

Ok Thanks. So I am guessing the modules are not scaled against each other then?

I think I probably can shed off an 80/105 if I get 16/20 or 12/15 for everything.

I got a raw mark of 79.5/105 and that scaled to an exam mark of 88.
I thought there was no such thing as half marks in HSC. I must have been mistaken I guess.

English and Humanities essays have half-marks I think.

Sciences/Maths have no half-marks.
