I have talked to the band 6 , he is a respectable member of societ and i applaud him (well from the way he responded).

Bottom line is, without his teacher he would not have gotten it. His teacher helped him create essays which he learnt , these essays , you only need to change a few topic words and your set. That it. He had no tutoring either.

Very good person too , wish him all the best.

namu y did u drop
you got 81 in ur sc didnt u?
in my school people that got 75 in the sc and up were automatically put in there.

now one of the people that got 75 is right at the top.
Yes, I was initially part of the English (Advanced) program. However, I didnt see much point in the continuation of the "program" as I perceived myself to he unfit for the course as I had no interest in the exploration of the further analysis of the texts such as As You Like It or other dry texts.

On top of that, 81 in SC is not really great at all considering how well others did at my own school.

deltan do u do std or adv?
i did standard: 84 and my uai is in mid-high 90's

If your aiming for 99+, you don't necessarily need a band 6 for std, though it wud be helpful

You will need at least a high band 5 for std eng, and the rest band 6's to be guaranteed

Namu; Do advanced that way you can most certainly get 100.

With std you will probably get a measly 99.8 +

Or break the trend and become the first std english student to get 100

DO IT

Yeah, if my mum wasn't too stubborn about my subject choice, I would have gone with ESL.

However, I guess that series of non-100 UAI from English (Standard) is going to stop from this year. ;)

ESL is far much easier than normal English.

On top of that, it's scaling has been quite decent for the top performers.

I stay adamant that I could have performed reasonably well if I actually chose to be part of ESL program. However, that doesn't necessarily mean I would end up much better in there as I cannot accurately predict the future.

Ok,

Can you drop in year 12 from Standard to ESL , in the same way Adv can drop to Std?

I am not entirely sure.

I don't think you can because ESL and English (Standard) courses are entirely different.

Ah pity. But are you sure you would have been eligible for ESL? I sure know I wasn't

And yeah, you should look to state rank in Standard if you want 100.
