Jerry Springer - funny - every so often I catch the end of it and find myself riveted - it is like watching a car crash - you KNOW it is going to be awful but you just can't help watching.

Kath and Kim - one of the top rating comedies - you know, about an older single mother - Kath Day ( I'm high maintenance - I reckon you gotta be) and her self centered daughter Kim who has just left her husband. Kath is having a relationship with the local butcher Kel.

I don't have a worst - parhaps Seinfeld.

Agreed. A popular show where I can understand its success. May you have a long and preposterous life. Such a funny note to end the second series on.

Seinfeld is one of the best sitcoms. When there are so many bad comedies around, its easy to pick one that is lame. Seinfeld is great for its range of hillarious characters, ranging from the central four to peripheral characters such as Newman and Peterman. Speaking of which, how many shows have had a funnier one-episode character than Lieutenant Bookman himself?

Yeah, '71. That was my first year on the job.. Bad year for libraries. Bad year for America. Hippies burning library cards, Abby Hoffman telling everybody to steal books. I don't judge a man by the length of his hair or the kind of music he listens to. Rock was never my bag. But you put on a pair of shoes when you walk into the New York Public Library, fella.

Seinfield definately one of the best comedy shows, the worst for me would be Funniest Home Videos...esp when they use the fake voice over the video....so sad

he's like the only stand up comedian that manages to put me into fits of laughter... what he says is so simple and obvious yet its hilarious because of how true it is

well ive only ever seen him on rove and a dvd that my friend had... and that was good... havent seen a live show... but i guess he would run out of material cause its so life based and all..
the end of the dvd was the best when he was going on about all the different words and languages and how we came up with all these words etc etc etc... yeah i dont have a point here

Noice. Someone else had to mention Micallef, and I'd forgotten about The Young Ones. A very funny program..Can't go wrong with the sheer randomness of it all, ranging from slapstick to random performances by hit early 80's bands.
I always liked this routine;
(Mike enters, questioning Vivian.)
Mike-Whats this?
Vivian-I don't know.
Mike-Oh.
(Mike leaves the room, and returns, fish in hand.)
Mike-Whats this?
Vivian-Its a fish.
Mike-Whats this fish doing in my bed?
Vivian-Its not in your bed, its in your hands.
Mike-Oh.
(Mike returns the fish to its bed-location.)
Mike-Whats this fish doing in my bed?
Vivian-Don't know, its not my fish.
