New Century Maths (Prelim & HSC) (Robert Yen & Margaret Willard) are good - I use these when tutoring General Maths (which I dread!).

Also avoid, maths in focus.... it won't be able to get you a band 6.

Understand the concepts well enough and a band 6 is achievable no matter the textbook used
Maths In Focus doesn't expose you to all the concepts you need to know.
Learnt the hard way.

2 unit: Fitzpatrick is excellent, but Cambridge has some fantastic examples. I'm more inclined to Cambridge + school textbook for both easy questions and some harder ones.
GM: I have no idea.
