namu is lacking knowledge of maths. he will always get 10 marks below what he claims to get.
I know...I make so many stupid errors!!! I am somehow semi-blind during important exam time.

From now on, I shall claim to have got 130...:D (in the hope that I get 120)

to morning storm: you know that i couldn't get that. justin would have been closer to that mark if he didn't make a mistake...i reckon you will get 110+ too.

EDIT: I don't really know. I asked my teacher but my mark was apparently top but I am not really sure whether Justin came second or not. By the way, there are 4 classes that do 2 unit (2 classes are just 2-unit classes, one class is mine and the other class is 2-unit and 3-unit class), apparently everyone in 2 classes out of those 4 classes apparently failed according to my teacher.

LOL at people who failed. maths is easy and you failed. That's sad. You guys should have dropped to General. Now it will drag your UAI down. Prepare for the catastrophe!!
it's only easy for you because your brain is wired for it. if i chucked you into the extension english exam, no doubt you'd have failed that - and i doubt you could have pulled off a top band major work in ee2. can i laugh at you, then?

how do you fail an english exam where subjectivity comes into play?

english isn't really about subjectivity, if you think about it. it's about developing an opinion, yes - but supporting it in a well-structured, logical form. therefore you can fail; if you spell terribly, wander all over the place, do not support your opinion or don't have one at all, are completely unoriginal, plagairise, don't bother to write a proper response and/or have no understanding of the concepts of the course, then there's no way you can pass as well as someone who does well in english.

and before you jump to the defensive: people with brains wired for maths can pass english - i'm not saying they're going to fail. however, more often than not, maths-people don't find english easy; and the opposite, of course. i have trouble with maths (41%; yeah, that's trouble), and love english. it's to do with which part of your brain is more dominant.

Stop there.

I got 119/120 after remarking. :)
cool, same. I got 3 extra marks from the who took my marks off because I wrote them in fraction/poor writing/incorrect recording of marks.

Well, done. Accelerant huh? Not to bad~~~

I lost one mark because I made a mistake in the Spiral Question...

I forgot to say in the end that the addition of all the sides < 15cm.

What about you?
My mistake is lol-worthy. I lost a mark in Q2 where I had to find the area. I justed multiplied base and height to get the area. (forgot to divide that by two!!!)

Depends, if it asks for exact value or whatever, then yes. Otherwise you can put it in decimal places but you need to specify how much you rounded up.

Radians is so much easier though.

Calculus with trig functions is always done in radians. The limits of integration are given in radians, so if you wanted to evaluate in degrees (don't know why on earth you would), you will have to convert.

I have being going over each question in the 2008 CSSA and I'm struggling with question 10. b) iv). I manage to get 1= (2-y)/2ycosα ,but from here I can't solve for y. :shy: If any of the incredibly smart people on this thread could help me I'd be very grateful.

1 = (2-y)/2ycos@ (let @ be equal to alpha here, sorry)

2ycos@ = 2-y
y(2cos@) = 2-y
y(2cos@) + y = 2
y(1+2cos@) = 2
y = 2/(1+2cos@)
Therefore, BD = 2/(1+2cos@)

Hope that explained something.

Ah...not Band 6... Probably high Band 4 or low Band 5 if you are lucky?
