Re: What course do you plan on studying next year?

No more Adv. Maths for you...?
I doubt I'll make it into b Commerce/B science (adv maths) so I'll just opt between Commerce (international) and plain commerce
and even then i don't know whether if i want to do honours at maths, coz i was thinking itll be more useful if i did honours in actuarial

Even if you don't think you'll make it, you still put it in. Like I put an MBBS at Sydney as #1 for the lulz.

But okay.

I love the course description for Bachelor of Psychology with Honours on the UNE website: 'requires a high ATAR'.

Atar requirement: 86.

Rural unis are awesome.

hopefully 80+, realistically 75+. Only actually need about 66 to get into the course with the bonus points I will receive.

Looking to do electrical engineering at Newcastle Uni (has pretty low cut offs for engineering)

I'm trying to get into B Science (80) / Adv Science (95) at UNSW :D

If I were to miss out on these marks though, what should I do?
Should I go for a different degree at UNSW, or should I go for a lower-requirement Science at a different University and transfer into UNSW when I have the chance?

You'll get bonus points, so you should at least get into Science. Go get an ATAR estimate to make yourself feel better.

Currently still deciding whether or not to do law at unsw. Can any law students give an insight into their experiences of studying law and whether it lived up to their expectations or surpassed them?

More or less what I expected.

Competition is very intense. If you expect to come near the top, think again. :p

Thanks for your swift reply!

How is the workload in comparison to the hsc, and how many hours do you spend studying per week? The main reason I am turned off by law is the large amounts of ROTE learning that is required (from what I have heard).
