Yeh. You missed my edit.

I've never heard "Wen" before. Is it Canton or Mando?

Cool. I don't understand why Chinese people feel they have to get an English name and vice versa.

yeah, if you wanna amortise your car loan over 50 bloody years... :rolleyes:

using the loan amortisation formula (QMA dear):

n = 50
A = 300K
r = 0.06

R = A x [ r / 1 - (1 + r)^-n ] = approx 19K

edit: btw, if you plug in R = 18K, A = 300K, r = 0.06, and attempt to solve for n, you actually find that R never decreases to 18K because as n approaches positive infinity, (1 + r)^-n approaches but never reaches 0 (horizontal asymptote at y = 0).

and i still suck at math :(
what is it with you and 'dear'

Heh, good to know.

I've made it into two people's sigs now! THE POWER! *charges up*

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say, although you said it so much better :p

Also, I didn't know the four weeks/two weeks thing.

From memory, the highest level of people not working is Roseville or somewhere similar, which is the Florida of Sydney (retirement).
That's only because Roseville has heaps of old people.

and that is?
It's Swedish; Persson. The Swedish version of "Peterson", son of Peter (obviously).

I say it "pers-sohn", but my family says "person" (like you would the english word), although both are incorrect. It's supposed to be said more along the lines of as you would say "passion".

Yes I am. They should struggle with ours like we do with theirs!

Chosing a Chinese name should be as complex and difficult as it is for the parents.

Hahah, yep.

It's worse for my family, like my mum on the phone; "Hi, I'm Mrs Person... no... that's my real name... Ugh, get your manager"

lol, that would be funny.
Yeah, hence my alternate pronounciation of it.

It's not as bad as to start using an alternate name (I sould use peterson); one of my family friend's surname is "Ferniehough". They always call themselves Smith when booking a resteraunt.

now it makes sense...

He was like:
"So the witness says "I saw joe bloggs in a green car"
"then you have to say, I put it to you that joe bloggs was in a red car"
I'd say why do you always use that name.,..I guess its the result of a legal education
