Hey everyone...
I'm lookin' to get a Nintendo Ds after HSC ....finally
I want to get a mod for the ds, so i can play other games (that i can hopefully download ).... i've seen heaps on dealextreme.com, so wanted to know what ones people have and if they are any good, and also where u download games from :S.....
the mods im talking about r the ones like R4's etc

R4s and M3s seem to be the most popular of all the mods.

i gotta r4, its good, just doesnt load sometime, doesnt read the slot 1 thing, so i take it out, jam the microSD in a bit, drop onto a hard surface from 15cm above, do that few times, then works again.
Oh, and it freezes sometimes, like about 8 times since ive had it (got it 5 months ago) and my castlevania DoS save got corrupted and deleted, that pissed me off.

Apart from that, its ok. I dont use it for music or movies tho, only ds games. My battery's shit enough as it is..

I've got a TTDS/DSTT which is similar to the R4.

Probably the cheapest of the DS cartridges. Got mine from a shop next door.

Get one cause you wont regret it and you can d/l whatever games you want.

Something to take note of is that the DSi is incompatible with current homebrew mods: http://www.dsfanboy.com/2008/10/31/dsi-rejects-current-homebrew-flashcarts/

I doubt I'll get a DSi for a while and the current flash carts are so cheap you have nothing to lose, but still, worth mentioning.

that's the same fucking problem i get.

i sit there re-inserting the card all the time and blowing on the contacts. Takes ages sometimes.

Yep, the old ds and the ds lite both work, but the DSi won't work with any of them.
