hmmmmm ... hopefully there are some guitar nerds on here?? i just basically wanna know if anyone has one/knows enough about it to comment on its versatilty etc ... i mean ive read alot of stuff .. im just still not sure if its what i want :p

hmmm and one a kind of related topic ... is importing a guitar a really bad idea?? its just the prices ive seen here are shit .. when i can get it ~300 cheaper overseas ... and use part of that to pay for the shipping, then still save some?

dunno havent had/played one before...
how much are they worth..

u would save money importing it, but it would be a hassle
would it be easier to try get a discount using cash...retailers will usually knock of a fair bit esp if u buy it with something (amp/effects)

hmmmm well thats what im gunna do, basically sus out the cheapest i can get it here, then save (or my mum might give me a 'loan') so i can pay cash for that ... and some amp'age aswell :) but i have neally enough now anyway

see atm, only place ive got price from in aus = ~$1500

but ... from looking online, in europe/america .. the price converts to ~$950 -1200 aus ... from a few different places

hmmm cool man ... depends what you're into really ... originally i just wanted a standard tele, and was guna replace the neck pick up with a swazz humbucker .. but im too worried fucking round with the body will mess up the tone. dont go on look though, go on sound/feel ... lol sorry to state the obvious ... but what kinda amp you got? and what music you gunna be playing?

I'm a sucker for teles, I just bought one lastyear. I was very seirously concidering a 72 Deluxe but ended up going with USA standard. You can read about what other people think of guitars as much as you like, but you can't make up your mind until you go into a shop and spend a bit of time playing one and messing around with different tone settings and stuff.

Also, it will end up costing you an arm and a leg in shipping to buy from overseas. Prices are pretty good here at the moment (though they were even better after christmas last year), and you can usually talk them down a bit, especially for cash.

Well I play alot of bluegrass and country, as well as blues, so a telecaster is what I was after tonewise, and they're so damn sturdy and comfortable to play.
I use another guitar with humbuckers for jazz and rock.
perhaps if i had gotten a Custom I would have only had to ever use one guitar, but i love my otherone too much.
