so, we can't get a UAI of 100 anymore cos no-one has ever gotten a 500 ag, so wouldn't it be kinda funny if someone got 500 this year?

these things are purely RANKS RANKS RANKS! if u get 500 Agg and get first in the state, ur still chucked into a 99.95 group, just like here in Victoria!

I'm talking about the scaled aggregate though, which completely different from 100UAI/99.95ATAR..
In previous years, around 485~ scaled aggregate would get you 100 UAI.
But I'm just commenting on how impossibly hard it would be to get a 500 scaled aggregate.

I think after a certain point, studying won't get you any closer, and it's down to pure luck...But in 30 years, no one has ever gotten 500ag..so don't get your hopes up.

Actually no. 99 in Modern scales to 100. So first in the State in Modern gets you 100.

That's my opinion too. Closest that someone ever got was like 498...who topped English. So I think it "might" be possible.

1st in state for chem=100
1st in state for phys=100
3rd in state for bio=98
and some other absurd ranking for 4u maths and eng.

Amazing that for all the asian dominance of 100 UAI in the past the two highest ever aggregates have been from white people. Also for a 97-98 you'd need about 420 aggregate scaled minimum. But each mark is a .05 increase. 99 is at 446/7.
