Am I the only one that finds it ironic that a communist country is exporting workers?
Revisionist by communist standards.

China slowly started to turn from socialism to capitalism after Deng's reforms.

There are only two countries that are not fully revisionist that is Cuba and DRPk. Yet they still have aspects of revisionism and prospect of it.

Communism and being Chinese doesn't mesh. Chinese will not let their wealth be contained by a cobwebbed ideology.

I'm quite certain that the Chinese Government only retains Communism now for the entertainment value. It's pretty cool being able to parade your military on regular occasions and giving all public buildings the word 'red' somewhere in their title.

Will Castro declare himself Eternal Leader?

Communism is the incorect word. Communism means stateless classes soceity, not socialist country has ever called themselves Communist, its just foolish westerners who do.

As i said before i too aggree that China is not Socialist. It has a mixxed economy.

Castro and the Cuban government condemn any attempts at personality cults, only 3 times has a stamp been made of Castro.

Well obviously that's apart of the fucking problem. People who are willing to work in Victoria somehow can't move and establish themselves there.

Which is where the guest workers come in.

And how are guest workers going to come in and establish themselves any better than people here now. Anyway I think if the government wanted they could get enough unemployed Australians down there at the right time of year. They're just too bloody lazy to sit down and think it through. Where ever they're going to accomodate these guest workers they could accomodate Australian workers etc.

Anyway I've been contacted about a fruit picking job. I have no qualms about it. The only reason some people aren't interested in fruit picking jobs is the negative hype you hear about it. But I say try everything once so I'll give it a go.
