This is my theory...LOL...its sooo wrong

Snape isn't actually evil, and when Dumbledore and him were in the forest and Snape was saying 'I don't want to do it anymore' I think it was that he didn't want to be a 'double agent' and wanted to show his true alliance to Dumbledore. Also, he knew beforehand that he would have to kill Dumbledore and he didn't want it to come to that.
When Snape was about to kill Dumbledore and he said 'Severus, please don't' or something he knew that Snape would have to kill him and that is why he didn't order him to do it in any way. This also ties in with the 'Unbreakable Vow' because Dumbledore also didn't want Snape to die, and by not killing DUmbledore, he would have broken the unbreakable vow that him and Mafoys mum made.
Also that the final Horcrux is Harry. Because he saw so much of himself in Harry, he decided to put his final Horcrux in him. So Harry will always have part of Voldemorts soul inside him. The final time that Voldemort split his soul into the other Horcrux was the murder of Harrys parents.

Those are my only wrong theories right now :p

Did anybody else notice though, they didn't play ONE game of Wizard Chess in the whole book :(

Yay!!! i finally finished HBP this morning ^_^ woot- i can finally post theories, read em.. and what not :p lol ^^

My old theories were (as i was reading the book)

that perhaps.. (and due to the massive spoiler posted on BoS the night before HBP was released- which i was hoping to god it wasn't true.. but bad luck... it was... :( )
Dumbledore wasn't really dead. Polyjuice potion was stolen from the potions lab, snape dumbeldore.. dumbledore snape... etc.
and then... i re thought it and it totally didn't make any sense.

Secondly, i thought the final Horcrux was Harry.. or his scar.

and aww.. I really really liked this book- i thought it wasn't a let down at all.. No way.. (and i know somepeople have said they didn't enjoy it at all)
it was great!!1
very sad.. and aww... no more Harry at Hogwarts? Thats going to be weird..
and and and.. no more quidditch captain.. and godrics Hollow stuff..
and and Bill and Fleurs wedding *weird* and and Hermione and Ron... harry and Ginny

was it jsut my imagination or did J.K. say something in an interview that the series was going to cover harry potters seven years at HOGWARTS??
Yesh, she did actually say that.. But, that was quite sometime ago.. who knows.. he might return for a small amount of time, and then leave like Gred and FOrge (tee hee) Fred and George.
And, perhaps,- to cut a bit of the tension.. she might go from Hogwarts to harrys adventures.. Two views.. perhaps.. like Ginny at Hogwarts and Harry . Ron and Hermione outside. (thats if they do join him (for sure) which i hope they will - because it aint fun without the trio ^^ )

Whoa... ok.. this site.. wow, its even making my head kinda... rethink the death.. o_O ...

http://www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com/dumbledoreclues.html

its pretty good ^^ -

and one of you said J.K 'practically said it, hinted it' to say that Dumbledore was dead... truly dead.. but, nothing was set down in concrete!!!

aww, man.. :( Im still upset.

I found that the 6th book wasn't as exciting as the others. I think that R.A.B may be Sirius's brother Regalus Black since the R amd B fit with it after discussing it with my friend on HP: HBP. I really can't wait till the 7th book comes out :)
Did anyone notice simlarities in this book to some bits in LOTR because I certainly did lol

i really think some of you should read, or at very least, skim through the thread before saying the same things everyone else has already said :p

To me, the best parts of harry potter series was when they were actually at hogwarts... the other parts didnt appeal to me as much. I dont think she would just change stuff like that just like that, I mean it did take her 5 years just to plan the thing. So i think that perhaps he would leave for a small amount of time and then realising that the secret lies within hogwarts, returns again!

yep i reckon snape is still good, and when dumbledore said "severus, please", he was pleading with snape to kill him, and the disguted look on snapes face after he did it, was just like the face harry made when he was forced to make dumbledore keep drinking that weird water. so kind of like "im a sick person for doing this" face.

and also, coz snape, and dumbledore can also perform occlumency, they were reading each others minds.

well technically if they were both 'performing occlumency- they would be BLOCKING their minds to eachother, not reading them ^^
im pretty sure she meant leglimency...

scobie, you didnt make sense...

I dont think harry is a Horcrux because voldy has tried to kill him many times... so if harry is a horcrux why would voldy want to destroy it? I dont think thats a theory that will turn out to be true...

there was a quote when snape stopped the death eater from cursing harry at the end, paraphrasing "No, he is the dark lord's" could that be a double meaning???

Sorry about my ignorance, but what is the deal with Harry Potter? Why is it so popular and what's so good about it? I've never read a page of any Harry Potter series as i thought it was a children's book...

It's popular because it's a tightly bound mix of fantasy, thrilling drama, white-knuckle suspense and complex relationships. The great thing about the book is that it has so much of everthing that you cant (a) tire of it or (b) not like it! Watch movie 1-3 (the first two books are crap), then read the rest. You won't regret it.

Yeah. I think it means Voldemort wants to have anal sex with Harry as well.

Why the hell are you asking whats so good about Harry Potter if you've never read a page of it? What the hell do you think we are going to say, 'Oh. It's just great to see old men banging off to witch porn.'

Try reading the book and saving yourself the necessity of asking pointless q'tions.

i agree (what someone posted earlier), i think snape is good and dumbledore wanted to die (in order to kill voldemort he was ready to sacrifice everything), he could easily have taken the wand of malfoy, malfoy was never going to kill him,
and snape will eventually do a backflip in the last one and help the order as i don't believe rowling will make dumbledore look like a fool as at the present he certainly looks like being a fool. dumbledore says that snape helped him after dumbledore destroyed one of the horcruxes, snape could easily have killed him then but i believe he did it at the end to make it seem like he is voldemort's true supporter.

i disagree with you opinions

i believe Snape IS a good man but not because he killed dumbledore because dumby wanted him to

Snape made an unbreakable vow....i believe dumby knew this.....if malfoy did not kill dumby the death eaters (or voldy) were going to kill him....malfoy was not going to do it....snape cudnt let malfoy be killed....thus to save malfoys life dumby told snape to kill him (dumby)!

thus malfoy will turn good from the sacrifice dumby made! :D
