You can get X arbitary atar with X combination of subjects.

You just have to do really well in them if they scale/align crap.

A few people probably. Most would have done extension 2 english or maths but you will find every year there are a couple who get 99.90+ without either of them.

Like my sister, who is the intellect of our family. She did neither of the extension programs but boy did she kick but in all three sciences.

The main ones are Physics, Chem and Economics alongside the classical languages (Greek, Latin etc.) from what I've heard.

pick your subjects on interest and what you'll think you would do well in, not on scaling

Definitely possible. I got 99.90 and I did Business studies and visual arts which are both "scale down subjects".

'determine' (forum member) got 99.7 without extensions. i think he did adv english, economics, business studies, 2u maths and accounting

I know someone who did Advanced English, 2Maths, Ancient History, Legal Studies, Society & Culture and Economics and got 99.75. So yes, it is possible. Legal doesn't scale amazingly but it's not awful, either. My Legal teacher says as long as you put the work in and can answer the questions effectively, it won't "scale you down".
