Hey, should I be writing notes..... (Prelims) (1 Viewer)

Given that there are literally notes and resources for all modules and all subjects, is there really a need for me to write my own notes?? I mean the notes I find online are WAY better than I can format my own, plus they're written by people who did very well in the subject. Usually what I do is I write my own notes and write a set of questions and answers for them because active recalling the most effective method for me. Now that I have notes I was wondering If I could just jump straight to active recall as it's a huge time saver. Will not writing my own notes push me back, or put me at a disadvantage? Let me know what you guys think.

I think it might be better for u to write your own notes as it will make it easier for you to retain the information. But maybe try making ur own notes and also combine some from online

The ones on bos seem promising butttt I guess I'll just write notes

yes u should, writing the notes down also serves as a technique to help u memorise all the stuff. yeah the notes on bos r really good but they're not personalised and your notes should always be wrote down the way that YOU can remember it

fr if you really don't want to write your own notes from scratch, you could probably use a pre-written one as a base...then write your own ones based off of that

i do not write notes in class AT ALL
my pen is never picked up unless the teacher tells us to do so
idk maybe it's just me but that's how i do it

i write my own notes that i can revise on, but i def recommend using online notes only if they are more detailed then your own, cause there is no point in using notes that are the same as yours and you could of written up yourself. i recommend that you use the website aceHSC as they notes, past papers, and assessment's on literally every subject.
