Just because it's early and many people live 1-2 hours away from the uni

Well, 9am is fine for me, but 8am kills my life because I have to get the train at like 6:20 and it's usually like 5 degrees at that time so when I get to Uni I have to carry coats around and also tiredness.

9am starts just get old fast, have to get up early and it's still pretty much peak hour on the trains depending on how far away you live.

They make the lecture material harder at 9am. Late afternoon classes are much easier.

For an example, I remember in second year economics I went to a morning class and we were learning about the IS-LM model, but my mate in the afternoon class was analysing how much chest hair Paul Krugman has.

A lot of the time, you dont have much choice. I'd take, and have before, a 9am start (earliest at UTS) over unnecesary gaps or another day with no hesitations.
