Mine were stoked!! They usually aren't the kind to brag about their kids but my dad has been telling all his family and friends! And Mum was so excited, her voice became super high pitched :)

My mum was on the toilet seat half awake at 6am. I don't think she really cared for the individual marks. Maybe the atar will? LOL

My mum was pretty happy because I'm the first of her kids to get a band 6.
I think I'm the first to get a band 5 actually. Hahaha
But for serious, she kinda was happy, kinda didn't care.
My brothers seemed really stoked, I think they just thought I was all talk the whole year so they were surprised (even though I didn't do as well as I said/hoped I would).

My mom.. doesn't really care, as long as I got to uni...

My mom said to me that I should have never done Music, should have chosen another subject, since it's so risky. She gave me a 2 hour lecture about my subject preferences and asked me to change my course preferences. Nevertheless she is feeling fine on the fact that I'll get into my first preference.

My mum accidentally misread my results and convinced herself that I'd gotten all B5s so when she found out my actual marks, she was pretty disappointed.

They were happy, but not as overwhelmed as I expected them to be. My mum didn't think I'd make 90+ ATAR.

Angry 'For me' because they know i have been unfairly marked, and dragged down by the lazy buggers in my cohort.

my parents were very proud, but I think I had about .3 of breathing room before they would be very dissapointed

Mum started crying haha, first one in the family to complete high school. Really didn't think I'd get 90+, I was happy for an 80. Thank goodness it's all over :)

my father hit me
my mother cried
they've locked me in my room
i can hear my father's anger
i can hear my mother's sorrow
i have dishonoured my family
now i fear i will have no family

I know how you feel. Don't worry, they'll get over it eventually. Your ATAR was brilliant compared to mine, your's was what I needed. Let's move on with life, there's always internal transfer for first semester.
