Hands down the hardest test in 10 years in my opinion....
I was expecting binomial probability, more inverse trig functions, permutations and combinations, more SHM and they asked next to nothing!
There goes my HSC.... thank you board of studies, really, thank you
I agree 100% with you.

And Ext 2 was right out of left field and probably the hardest since 2000. What is going on this year.

I think it's actually ridiculous that only 2 people in our school finished the paper...out of about 60 ish, and it's a selective school.

...I thought they were make the exams able to be finished?

This is ridiculous. With an extra hour-ish I would have been able to do fine, but my max raw mark is 70% :(
Hopefully it'll be ok since I have a good internal rank?

Goodbye getting over 90 for extension 1.

Shouldn't they have made the 2u a bit harder, and 3u not so insane?

This is stupid.

I'm glad i'm not the only one that thought it was hard!
The board of studies must just have a grudge against our year or something....

It was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Except the last question. That was crazy. Trust them to put my worst topic as the hardest question.

I'm glad everyone else found it hard! Lots of thinking involved in a 2 hour exam. Like - WTF?! Do people who do 4 unit as well, not get their marks scaled up as much - or what happens to people who do 4 unit??

thank god the common consensus is that the exam was hard.... i thought it was a joke, i got so desperate i started drawing faint scribbles in the hope that the examiners would see the right answer amidst my scribbles.
But if most ppl found it hard maybe scaling this year will work out better...
maybe just hopeful thinking... oh well you move on

I didnt think it was that hard.
Long, yes - it took me near 10-15 mins to do question one.
But i answered everything.
And question 7 was quite easy.
Just a whole lot of trig manipulation and projectile theory.

Still, hope i get scaled now if everyone's flunking.

no.. we get alligned/scaled exactly the same as normal cept our mark is reported out of 100 while your's is out of 50** me thinks**

But it does count twice to our uai scale aggregation while ppl who don't do 4unit only gets it counted once *as a unit out of 50*

which is a good thing since 4unit was terrible and im happy enough with my 3unit mark.. glad its counting twice since i do exactly 10 units
