I studied from 4pm-10pm weekdays after school minus dinner shower break (2.5 hrs?) + time during recess/lunch/frees during school hours
Weekends 10am-10pm is not something that has not been done. Not 12 hours of course - subtract lunch dinner study break etc.

I stop at 10 because my brain stops absorbing after 10 (I slept at 11.30 ish).

>I didnt have a social life
>Don't judge me pls

In my defence I genuinely enjoyed studying (esp maths)! I guess that's why I didn't burn out?

i know 2 people who got 99.95, one guy studied 2hrs a day the other 3 hrs a day. That being said they also paid attention in school and spent lunch times and free periods studying as well.
Yeh nah, they lied to you

Why do people lie about how long they study? It's so sad.

Pay attention in class, know your concepts and content well = 3 hours of study a day.

Probably 4 hours a day

6 closer to exams

I know someone who studied 12 hours a day during the summer holidays of year 12, he ended up getting 99.5.

6-8 hours on weekdays consistently is in the realm of very very improbable (not just on a mental level but also, on a physical level)

Natural aptitude/talent plays a significant role as well.

Working hard sometimes isn't enough.
I am the victim of this in Physics. I put a lot of hours into trying to understand it and doing past papers.

But I can't do an exam on the spot. LOL

Probs like how everyone says before going into an exam "oh lol i did like minimal study im so screwed hahahahahha"
and then they come out with top marks

except if you already got 99.95 i don't see why you would lie about how hard you worked to get that atar

I'm going to GUESS that some people are embarrassed to say they study a lot, and want to relate to people who are in the norm (and don't do a lot of study).

I know someone doing a course that requires a super high ATAR + is very demanding itself. They say they don't study, but c'mon, when exams come round they study a lot and are good at it.
