:uhhuh:Ha Ha Ha I'm at word count 8,600 (down from 11,000 - i got a "little" carried away) Now i have a problem of having to shrink it down to size:angry::angry::angry::angry: Quite a pain. They should extend the word count allowed 8,000 is just crap!
perhaps the first thing you should have done when you picked up EE2 is found a dictionary and looked up short story ;)

editing down is easy though. just go through and delete a sentence, any sentence and then reread the paragraph. if it still makes sense then the sentence you deleted was serving no purpose. and continue until you are down to 6000 words :)

jesus christ
people are onto 4th drafts?
the 5 people in my class are having serious trouble putting pen to paper
... myself included
we sit around moaning "we're screweddddd, its not sophisticated enough"

lol
we really are pathetic

but all those past works that we've been reading are making us feel like our ideas are made of fail.

it's a sad existance.
and a vicious circle.

must. finish. draft. 1.

Umm all I have done is my proposal and 1300 words :|
They aren't in order or anything.

I have three majors, so I'm trying to get the others out of the way before getting stuck into my story.
I'm so stressed about it :(
And I'm starting to think that the story is too personal.

Arghhhh.

Its like mine. Gah! I gave it to my teacher and she said to me, "It's all too choppy, it doesn't flow."
I'm like, "That could be because they're NOT in order."
And my story is wayyyy unsophisticated. And personal as well. How on earth do I get it sounding pro???

I'm just passed 4500 words. But I've just come up with something new! :( Not that it's going to change the whole nature of my story or anything, but I'll have to adjust it a little. I just wish I thought of it earlier. Anyway, progress slowed during exam week but is picking up now.

I've done one poem...

But, since my ideas keep on changing (not significantly, yet, still enough to make the suite not cohesive enough), i'm going to write all the poems at the same time.

I need 14.
I've done 1
And i have ideas/structures/styles in mind for the rest.
Still not good enough...
Arghhhh!!!

On my 4th journal though... ha, the majority isnt really relevant anymore

I finished my first full draft yesterday. (Although some parts have already been drafted and redrafted.) I've got 7943 words. :)

probably doesn't go in this thread but just felt like sharing. my ext2 teacher read my rewritten story for the first time this wk and told me today that she likes the other one better =.= 7000 FREAKING WORDS. and she's like 'put the other one back in'. Uh, it's not as simple as that ?? grrrr.
