So in terms of finance how much money have you spent for textbooks, notes etc? So far I've spent ~$300.

$40 total

$20 on hsc mathematics in a month which apparently didnt do any good lookin at that horrid test (more my fault for not understanding the complicated parts of the course which happened to encompass the whole of the exam)
$20 on hsc physics in a month which I only opened 2/3 times to look at the notes.

$60 for textbooks and study guides for every subject (advantage of working in a book store, 30% discount)

$400 on major works (thee majors) as I got most things as samples thankfully.

Probably only $60 on textbooks, majority of what I got were from teachers and the internet. But then you add in drama costumes... $120? Plus how much freaking paper and ink I used at my house printing everything I needed... It's alot.

$17 dollars on textbooks which I sold recently for $50
One dollar for double sided tape (art major)
And that's it.

Suck shit to the people who spent 8 grand~ idiots.

I have spent quite a great deal.

Should easily exceed 1000 with books. Then again, I only used some specific books. My advice: SHOP AROUND. There are "certain" books, that are bound to get you better information than others e.g. Cambridge over Fitzy in 4 unit imho.

If I bought responsibly, I would have saved like 70% already

Guys dont forget to keep your reciepts and recieve 50% of your educational resources back with tax returns.
ALSO be careful to not just buy notes and books off the people on this site.
You don't know how reliable they are. They could have the info wrong while could also claim to always get high marks and in reality not do very well.
Buy textbooks which are guaranteed to be right. That way you can go through and make your own notes and have a better understanding and not have false notes.

I think I spent about $60 on text books, both for maths.
About $25 for paper and ink with my major work
And probably about $50 for my two drama performances (love op shops) =]

On text books and things? Nothing. I borrowed study guides and stuff from the library and school and the library supplied plenty of text books. Probably about $6 in library fines for forgetting to return a Modern study guide. And about $30 in outstanding fines on that maths book I didn't return for a month or so, haha. I haven't borrowed anything from the library since I returned the book.
