I dont get it when people try really hard in like year 7 and 8 when it doesnt count, and then giving up when they get to year 12 when it actually doesmynamewastaken said:i have a lot of pressure, but no one tells me that, but you know how you just know? its because ive gotten dux of every year of my schooling life (i swear everyone else is just stupid, no effort required), but this year i either a) had a brain tumour b) got lazy c) stopped caring. so im not going as well as everyone expects me to. and now im just hoping i get a 74 to get into an arts course, so i can switch courses later... argh. cant wait til the whole family and entire world are like, ...shit, you didnt get dux? will be real fun.

wow you just totally inspired me. like, i have no pressure from my parents because i've always done well at school and compared to my brother and sister (both younger, i'm the eldest), they are just happy that i put effort into school at all! but like, i've never though to myself "i'm doing the hsc for me, for my life" kinda thing before...i'm not sure who i thought i was doing it for before i read that...haha. i feel all optimistic and empowered and motivated now. does this even make sense?zxcvbee said:Im not doing the hsc for anyone else but me i think thats the only way, cos the most important prson i will be letting down if i dont do well, is myself.
