You did. Partition is like when you have one hard drive but make it into 2+ virtual harddrives.

Bootcamp is for Mac and Windows, not sure for Linux.

It is pretty good. But personally i wouldn't do it because of how i use my computer and if a do, i would need to alot of fixing for my programs/shortcuts

Just put pictures of your desired uni as your desktop background as well as the background of your home screen if you do have an ipod/iphone, so that when you have the urge to procrastinate, that picture hinders you from doing so.
