Marcus apologises profusely for his extended absence from Bored of Studies. He has just spent two days at his sister Despina's place in Manly - he went and swam in the sea every morning, and firetwirled on Shelly beach in the evenings. Shelly Beach is great - it's just around the corner from the main beach; and is something of a cove. On either side, sea cliffs rise above the water, and the water is calm, for it merely ripples, unlike the wild vitality of the main beach. The water is deep and ambient, and many fish swim amongst the rocks to either side of the water. It was great firetwirling there, on clear nights, lit by starlight and moonlight. But now Marcus is back; and he admits that whilst he enjoyed his stay, he has also longed for the comfort of his own bed....


Marcus send Justin his condolences. He hopes he is getting on alright since his puppies have found their new homes. He imagines that the house must still feel quite empty without them there.

Marcus is indeed quite jealous that some members of the Important: Please Read thread have met up, and that others were excluded! Marcus suggests that sometime in the future, all the members of Important: Please Read should meet.

Justin greets Marcus and feels that there is no need for apology if he enjoyed himself. He feels that frequenting this thread is hardly compulsory.

Justin's house does indeed feel empty, but Justin is somewhat relieved as there is less worry and mess to deal with. He also has a lot of time to get to know his pup, Zak.

Justin is glad to see that some of the Important - Please Read people have returned, even briefly, and hopes that they are enjoying their break.

Amber wonders who met up, and when? And how? And definately agrees that all distinguished members of Important: Please Read should meet up someday soon.

Amber is going to UOW to do her Creative Arts: Creative Writing interview. She has begged newest boyfriend to drive her up there (she feels that she will be too nervous to drive properly, but boyfriend's car also has air con whereas Amber's doesn't )
Amber is feeling nervous as she has had no time lately to read up on her favourite authors/ writing styles or even work on her own, and hence will feel very stupid in her interview. She will be up late tonight both reading and researching, she feels. Poor little Amber

Just backtracking a little, Amber noticed that Katie travelled down to vincentia! Amber wonders if Katie enjoyed Vincentia much? Amber lives pretty much next to the turnoff that you take off the highway in Falls Creek, and onto Jervis Bay Road. Amber feels quite excited that Katie was so close. Had she known sooner, Amber would have driven over and taken Katie to some gorgeous beaches that only locals know about

As Amber is also experiencing summer lovin', she feels greatly as if she knows that Katie is going thru, and agrees that it is a most exciting thing indeed.

Lynn is glad that Marcus, Katie and Amber are FINALLY back (Lynn has missed them muchly) and to answer Amber's question, it was Susan and Lynn that met up at spec (we took photos!). Lynn and Susan also got to meet chepas

Lynn agrees that a get-together is definately in order, preferably soon before everyone starts going all christmas-y and before the weather starts reaching melting proportions. Lynn wonders how Hyde Park Fountain sounds as a meeting place, and wonders what everyone is doing next week?

And as a note to Susan and anyone else who is interested, Lynn just came back from the doctor and is very happy to be able to say that her left ankle is merely inflammed rather than fractured (Lynn was unable to walk - let alone dance - for most of Friday and Saturday) Lynn is quite relieved, particularly as she gets to see her sports physio this friday. She has also progressed to an almost-walk as opposed to a half-hopping limp, of which she is rather proud.

Amber wishes to point out that a) Sydney is a 2-3hr drive for her and that b) she has no idea where that park is and would definately get lost in an attempt to find it Amber does not think she will be attending the meet

Amber is very happy for Lynn and her ankle, and hopes it causes her no further problem.s Amber sprained her wrist last week and it has been quite painful, and a wrist brace has been the only thing helping it to get better (also her new bf massaged it for her a few times with the 'deep heat' muscle thingymabobby salve that he had, which was really sweet and made it feel much better too!

Apparently it will be 42 degrees tomoro and Amber is worried that she will melt during her interview! :s

Alan refuses to join in the meeting unless Amber desperately tries to find reason to come to Sydney! The park is quite easy to find, and although Alan does not live in the city, his second home for everyday for four months was the state library, and so Alan knows the city quite well, and all its shortcuts. Thus, Alan is very very very willing to go in search of Amber when she comes to visit us all.

Alan would also like to wish Amber no luck. Her charms and intelligence are more than necessary to present herself in a manner all too pleasing to UOW.

Marcus wishes Amber "good luck" tomorrow , and says hello to Alan and Lynn - "long time, no talk!".

Marcus would like to meet (if, of course , Amber comes ). He is free next week; and he thinks that the park is a great location.

Justin likes the idea, but is unsure if he'll end up being able to get there. Work and such create problems, but he will see what he can do (if anything).

He supposes if all else fails, he could arrange something with Alan, who doesn't live too far away.

Katie also likes the idea but is in the process of getting extra shifts at work so even though her week is free at the moment, she may end up having to back out at the last minute if a shift comes up. Katie has absolutely no money and her sisters birthday is soon not to mention christmas, so she really really needs the work.

On another note, Katie is sending many goodluck vibes to Amber and hopes her interview goes swimmingly today. She is sure that everything will be fine as long as no one melts into a puddle of sludge in the 40something degree heat!

Katie assures Justin that all goodluck wishes are equally as powerful no matter when they are given. She wonders what his plans are for the day and if he got the job at Angus and Robertson?

The woman who interviewed him at Angus last week seemed to like Justin, as they chatted more about books and music than real interview stuff. She said she would call him mid to late this week.

He is having mood swings, though. Sometimes he thinks he'll get it, and other times he thinks he has no chance.

Katie thinks that any Angus people worth their salt would hire Justin and if they dont, Katie is always willing to stalk/kidnap/kill people... for a very large price. Although in this case mates rates would apply. Katie suggests chocolate to combat Justins mood swings as it always makes her happier.

Justin thanks Katie for her support and laughs at the fact that she is the second person to make such an offer. Justin doesn't get depressed. He assumes he is just anxious because he needs a job as soon as possible. He will call on Friday if they don't call him.

Katie is startled that there have been other people offering her services to Justin. She hopes there are no other Katies lurking around. Although she wouldnt be suprised if there were seeing as she is fantastic she just hopes no one wants to turn her into a Katie suit like in Silence of the Lambs.

Alan is annoyed that he spent much of yesterday staring at his phone, urging the people at Jeans West to call to no avial. Now he wonders if he heard them correctly. Alan is annoyed.

Alan is also a bit entertained and if the situation were not so serious, he would find our Amber's little excursion to her interview quite comical. With this heat and the pressure of the moment, Amber would melt! various senarios have just run though Alan's head LOl (Who said anything about schadenfreud?)

But no, he knows Amber will do well. And Alan hopes that, at least one of us (Justin or Alan) will get a job soon.

Justin encourages Alan to give Jeans West a call and find out what's going on. If anything, it will show them that Alan is keen to work.
