Lynn thinks this is a pretty good idea, and that Katie should contact Susan as she is very level-headed about this sort of thing. If it's still in the botanical gardens, Lynn should also be able to find them rather easily... after a little while of getting lost :D:D:D
Justin remembers Alan's fountain. :)

Lynn can't quite remember how to get to the fountain but can follow the water's edge for a while... or if signs point towards the Herb Garden? :p Lynn should probably get back in Sydney first before she makes any more plans... she crosses her fingers and hopes she does not get jet-lagged, as a tired Lynn on a high would be most embarrassing... Lynn wants to be serious for a change *determined look*

Well Alias:Secret Life of Jesica Jones is crime noir about a failed super-hero turned PI but she gets captured by one of her cases in a very *nasty* way.
Runaways is about a group of teenageers who hate each others guts but have discovered their parents are murderers and cultists, its sort of like Tomorrow when the War Began actually, Iron Council is one of China Mieville's absolutely smashing Bas-Lag series which is hands down the best fantasy on the planet, and the Robin Hobb novella was themed about the birth of the first Rainwilders and feminism in Bingtown, not as good a Hobb's three other trilogies set in the Six Dutchies/Bingtown world but better than her later Ki and Vandien work.

Justin would really like to know what the name of the Robin Hobb novella was and where Evan bought it from, since it is related to the Six Duchies and Bingtown stories. :D

Another Hobb addict huh?
Well there are two short stories but one is near impossible to get and the other was originally published as a component of Legends II ,both centre on the Bingtown side of things.
Edit: The impossible to find one is called Inheritance and the one Evan purchased is called Homecoming

Justin is indeed a Hobb addict, however he has read all three trilogies twice in the space of twelve months, and definitely needs a break. He is currently addicted to Matthew Reilly's work (for something different).

He feels discouraged at the difficulty of those stories to find.

Evan would lend Justin his copy but suspects Justin would be so enraptured with it Evan would never get it back. Evan thinks until all the problems in Six Dutchies are resolved too much Hobb is never enough and that Hobb is crafting another series for the addicts like ourselves to cut their teeth on.
Evan would also like to add that Robin Hobb has many more books than the Six Dutchies/Bingtown series that she published under her psuedonym Megan Lindholm.

Justin is aware of Hobb's other books, however he has not searched for them as he hasn't had money (most of his pay from work has been spent). In any case, he still has a number of other books to read before he buys more.

Justin is very good with books, and always returns other peoples' property. As a matter of fact, he isn't very fond of borrowing in the first place as there is always that thought in the back of his mind that he must return it that makes reading slightly less enjoyable.

Justin has heard that Hobb's next series is called The Soldier Son trilogy, and as yet there is no word on whether it is set in the same world as the Six Duchies.

Evan feels flattered but wonders if the IPR members might not feel that would be a tad intrusive and also that he has no idea where this picnic is.
Edit: Soldier Son is not set in Six Dutchies/Bingtown universe to Evan's knowledge

neither does the rest of IPR :p

Although Lynn is pretty sure it will be in the city, as that is central to almost everyone...

Justin wonders if the Soldier Son thing has been confirmed. Perhaps he should check the forums.

Ah yes. Justin has been there. In fact, that was where he headed minutes ago. He just isn't a big enough part of the community there to know who the admin, etc is.

Neither is Evan but Robin Hobb mentions his name several times on her site.
