Matt has just come to a realisation.. we're all nerds!

Lynn recalls the 04 IPR members having a discussion about this. Justin brought up the relevant issue of the connotations surrounding the word "nerd" (ie computer literacy and high academic proficiency). Since some of the members *cough* Lynn *cough* can barely find their Recieved Files folder at times, it was decided that "nerd" was not a very accurate term.

We found "geek" more suitable. *nods*

Evan suggests that Tez do Eddings for related, his books are generic enough that even I can analyse its speculative conventions(good fun to read though), and read his Rivan Codex where he talks about his conventions as well...(so wishing I did spec right now)
