when i said cos x i wasnt referring to trig i meant BECAUSE 'x'

cos is just the word because shortened

The audacity of this kid... Mate inequality questions requires foundations brought from real functions. If you aren't aware about what an asymptote is, it will be hard to visualise why x cannot be -1.
