Very much so. I know a girl who attended my school and did very similar subjects, and achieved an ATAR of 97.00. Not quite identical, but with any combination it's more than possible when you really knuckle down and try your best to keep focus on your end of year goal.

It really depends on your ethnicity. The government changed some rules this year, and you have to do certain subjects, and have a certain heritage to get in the 90's in terms of ATAR.

anything is possible
I pose a hypothetical question to address this statement. If this is true then the fun fact is indeed valid, 'it is impossible to open your mouth and simultaneously move your head back and forth.'

You can achieve an ATAR of 99.95 with any combination of subjects that count towards an ATAR as long as you are smart enough and do well enough.

You just have to be the best of HSC group for that year to get the highest ATAR.

I actually want to get the high 90's. 97-99 for a law degree. Possibly be a Councillor on Wyong Shire Council while I'm at Uni. I could run at the 2012 election, but I'd still be doing my HSC.

Not really the best thing, campaign to be a local councillor while I'm doing my HSC.
