Just tell yourself that you are only competing with yourself day by day and not others.
wow...yeah i never saw it that way....thnx =)

dont start stressing about how little time you have. it stresses you out a lot and takes up a lot of your time. just keep studying and think about how much you can accomplish in one whole day then times that by how many days you have left =]
yeah very true...

that is so true. also if you have a exam coming up in four weeks or so dont start stressing about how little time you have. it stresses you out a lot and takes up a lot of your time. just keep studying and think about how much you can accomplish in one whole day then times that by how many days you have left =]

thinking about how much i can accomplish in one whole day and multiplying that by how many days left is completely useless for me. cause when u do this u think that u've got plenty of time, and so i usually put things off until even later than i would have. then i fall into the trap of cramming. yep thats right- everything leads to cramming lol (for me neway).

thats why it best not to think about it ! just keep studying and don't think about anything besides the thing infront of you.

Cramming isn't so bad some of the time, it might actually help you a few times. But I suggest not cramming when it counts, e.g. HSC exams, and instead study well and effectively every day for a couple of weeks leading into the exam.

I cannot focus on anything unless I am in the mood to focus on whatever it is to be done. And those moods don't come in often.
that's just like me mate ! something that gets me into a good study mood is talking to my favourite teacher and getting advice from her. this helps me a lot and i stay on focus for a long long time. the thing that sucks however is that i don't have her as my teacher anymore ><"

Lol kent on so early? Anyways yeah one important point I forgot to mention is that taking a break and your social life is essential! if you have no social life and study all day, you will more then likely burn out. this is because you have nothing to look forward to besides the book infront of you. I always take Fridays off for just resting and usually Saturday nights to go out or something. Helps me a lot to keep fresh.
