there's no need to get you back for anything. i did not take offence at any of your previous comments.

now if you insulted my healthy curiosity, i might be offended
i'm just making an attempt to humour you

Most uni's have some sort of wireless internet system in place.

Re: laptops at uni?

At mine you can connect to wireless pretty much anywhere. You do 'pay' for it though, it comes out of your allocated internet credit, though I've never had to add any extra money to mine.

Re: laptops at uni?

I have a macbook pro 15" and the battery last at least 6 hours provided it's on minimal brightness. That's with constant internet use and a word processor open. I love my computer haha.
I have been using a macbook at school since year 11, so I don't see why I'll stop at uni, although, I plan on doing Architecture, and I'm sure there will be some classes where it's not possible. Man, I can't wait!

Re: laptops at uni?

i use a combination, i generally print off my notes and keep them in a folder as with all my other notes sorted by weeks. I occasionally bring my netbook (which i would recommend over a full size laptop if you have another computer at home) if i need to do an assignment or forget to print off notes, or am out of ink, or am too cheap to print like 50 pages for a tut

Re: laptops at uni?

Also, try and get yourself a printer at home. The cost will add up really quickly if you're constantly printing at uni.

Re: Laptops/binders/notebooks at university, what do you reccomend?

I prefer a laptop because I can access the net, have all my notes with me and type rather than write (because my handwriting is messy) but its a personal preference. Think about what you like and whats easier for you
