Or if you want it in simpler terms, lets call the character of Sawyer on the show Bob.

Now Bob had two parents; Bob's mother started cheating on Bob's father with a guy named Sawyer. Sawyer then used Bob's mother to get money from Bob's father. Bob's father found out after Sawyer had taken his money, that it was a scam and Bob's mother had been cheating on him.
Bob's father then killed Bob's mother, and then himself.
Bob then wrote a letter to Sawyer, the one which you heard on the show.

Bob attempted to scam a married woman who he was screwing, and her husband for money to pay off his debts. When Bob saw that they had a child, he realised he (Bob) had become just like Sawyer.

Hence, he probably decided to take on Sawyer's name to remind himself.

it kinda hard to explain...it kinda plays with ur assumptions and the fact that 'bob' has named himself sawyer...

1976/77 (cant remember) - 'bob', who was 9, saw/heard his father kill his mother and then commit suicide after the real sawyer grifted their money. writes revenge letter.

1985/86 - 'bob', who was 18, became a conman when he needed to cover a $6000 debt. thereafter he took the name "Sawyer"

~2000 - 'bob' tries to con $160 000 as shown in the flashback, before abandoning the scheme after seeing the kid

haha you missed the crucial part, dude. sahid said that "we are not alone" (DUH!), and then the most important part was when Hurley came saying that Ethan Ron wasnt on the manifest of the plane, meaning he was on the island before the plane crash. Then it cut to Claire and Charlie in the forest and then Ethan comes out of the bushes and smiles maniacally.

claire and the fortune teller person was really good
but i kept wanting to know
why the hell he put her on the plane?
why is it so important that she be trapped on the island?
and who are the bad things that surround it on the island?
as for the ethan dude... he was creepy from the beginning
i wonder what happens to claire and charlie
they will be okay
coz they didnt say that someone dies in the preview did they?
