woah, i always thought Estel was a chick
Don't worry.
Almost everyone who has come across Estel on BoS has thought that he was a chick...lol - with a name like Estel (sorry Estel), it's an easy mistake to make :)

dang, would he have come in the top few for standard english also?
I know he topped Standard at my school...not sure about state-wide though, since you must get a Band 6 in order to be recoginised in the Top Achievers list - I know he got a Band 5.

i think slide wants 95 in ext2? [something crazy :p]
I would assume that Slide Rule would be aiming to get at least 95, although I'm not one for making accurate assumptions :)

Certainly, we will not know until it has passed, but I will aim for that.

I'm contemplating whether a 94-95 is doable for me...I'd need 93-98/120 raw, assuming 75/120 aligns to 90...

Dux with 99.90 :)
...he did Standard English so I'm sure that was the main obstacle to a 100 or at least a 99.95.
he seemed to have screwed up 3u lol. No band 6 for 3u. Must have done pretty damn well in 4u/spanish/chem.

lol.
Ah...the reason why his name isn't on the Honours List for Ext 1 is coz he accelerated in 2003 and got 98 (or 49/50 since he only did 2/3u in 2003)... :)

Btw. he got 98 in Physics too, by topping the state...and I'm assuming his Ext 2 mark was probably ~96-97 judging by what others in his class got.

only very few people can get past mid-90s in 4u maths. feel better that you're just like everyone else.

approximately 30 people get 96 or higher in 4u.
Hmm...if only that were the case for Ext 1 as well - I'm probably in something like the top 500, which kind of sucks...
I'm sure the dux of my school would have got ~96, since the guy who came second to him in Ext 2 got 94.

30% of the state get band e4...but 3000-odd people do ext 2 maths so thats like 900 people, which sounds worse than you think.

realy... i would of though since 35-40% of the state get 90+ (45/50) in 4u mabe 10% have recived 96 or greater
There's probably a huge gap between the number of students who get 95 and the number who get 96 - I haven't checked the stats yet, so I'm not quite sure.
