Ritual suicide.

Im only joking. I dont take it that seriously.

Anyway, Im taking a gap year wether I get in or not. So if I dont get in, I guess I will take the UMAT again and hope for a better result. And if I still dont get in, ill do something like Med Sci and work my but off for a year off and try again as a non-standard. And if that fails ill just do graduate medicine.

What are you guys planning to do if you don't succeed in gaining admission into medicine?
Of the few I knew who really had a chance of getting into med but failed ended up getting into pharmacy. Others who missed out got into medical science, science (advanced), health sciences, combined law etc etc so I heard.

You seem very motivated to get into medicine. I like that.

medicine is great..
u study everything.. until u forget where ure life ends and ure studies begin..

frankly i think nothing can prepare a person for medicine.. its so... random.. there is no focus and so many decisions to make..

if u like that.. and then i wish u the best of luck.

Dentistry is not for school-leavers. It's a postgraduate course.

That's true for NSW.

However, Dentistry is offered as an undergraduate course in all other states. :)

in the undergrad degree, do you not choose a sub-specialty?
such as pathology, immuno, neurology
this way you can focus on specific feilds of medicine that interest you; while undertaking the mandatory subjects for completion of MBBS.

u can go do electives but then that is just to get an experience.. not to specialise
