I like the money too haha.

I would never stop working completely for the sake of studying.

I'd prefer to work 2-3 days and go to uni 1-2 days.

Some people cope well with it - it keeps some people busy, in a routine etc

I guess when I get around to ACCG224 I'm just gonna have to ask for help from people at work. Hopefully they'll be helpful [emoji23]

Yeah I've worked with people who did full time work and uni and managed to behave great grades also. My friend had 3 jobs (one FT, two casual) and managed to maintain a HD average and was on the deans list at UTS. Now he has a fancy job and practically lives at work, but he loves it.

Some people balance it well, others (me) suck at it! There are so many variables why some people will manage it better, but St the end if the day, finding the balance that works for you works the best.

5 or so plus a week for exams.

You should cover about 3 weeks content in one actual week.

First assignment done and dusted! :)

I looked at what i have due in the next few weeks though and it isn't going to be fun. I think I'm going to go to the library to borrow some books. I actually have no idea how to do that though :bomb:

Requested and borrowed some books from the ARC in the library today. First time!

I had no idea what I was doing, but the thought of Robots getting my books was cool!

I'm literally going to o week next year to see the robots.
I love robots.

I was trying to explain the whole robots getting books to my family and they just looked at me funny.

Earlier this year, at Macquarie University...

Unit Coordinator 1: "What's a good deadline to have an assessment due?"

Unit Coordinator 2: "What about week 7, right before the break?"

Unit Coordinator 3: "Sounds good to me, then I can mark it over the break!"

Unit Coordinator 1: "Excellent! Week 7 it is! Mark it in your calendars."

Unit Coordinator for every other unit ever: "DID YOU GET THAT EVERYONE? WEEK 7 DUE DATES FOR ALL ASSIGNMENTS. MAKE SURE THEIR BIG ASSIGNMENTS THAT THEY CANT GET AHEAD ON TOO!"

And so the world was just, and the students cried and slept no more...

How are you trekking with your assignments?

I have assignments for all four of my subjects. I also have the MYOB and EXCEL lectures to watch.

I'm thinking of taking a day or two off to study.

Not too bad so far. Two are in class assessments, so other than doing revision, there isn't a huge amount to get through.

One assessment is a 2500 word report. It isn't terrible, the topic and the question are straight forward. Unfortunately being a 300 level class though there is very high expectation - it requires specific types of sources, and referencing and concepts need to be high quality. I've started work on it, which hopefully means I'm ahead of the rest of the class. I'm hoping to finish that one off by tomorrow and submit it early. Thankfully its something that can be done in advance without issue.

The last assessment is going to be the worst. It's for one of my ISYS classes, so there is a lot of work that has to be done in a certain way on a certain software. I'm trying to download the software to get it done from home, but I'll probably need to work on it from a lab in E6A. Whats more annoying is I can only access it from of the rooms, meaning I'll probably have to go in next weekend to get through it all. Hopefully once my report is done I can start planning out this assignment :haha:

Having time off to study in the past was really useful for me. Just being able to focus on an assignment and having a whole extra day to work on it made a lot of difference. Of course it's up to you, but If you know you'll use the time wisely and can afford the time off, then go for it.
