…also you're not going to be able to bear such a big grand narrative by yourself.
I know… I need help in many circumstances. However, but having it will only slow me down, not stop me completely.
I’ll find a way to be strong on my own, so I can finally feel comfortable with the idea of sharing the only happiness I have. It’s too risky to have relationships as I am now, hence why I’m going deeper into things instead of people.

So blank has given up on high school, I’m happy for you but sad you never made it to the exams 😔
I do want to thank you though, you really helped me with many REALLY important life lessons. Just because I won’t perfect the high school exams, doesn’t mean it will be my last exam.

That’s right, it was an honour being your mentor. I still remember when you were that weird kid when we first met. Man I’m such a great influence

You truly are an example to follow. That strength to not give a stuff about being humble, is the most honest trait, I like that.

Um. I don't think living forever would equal doing whatever you want forever. You'd probably be working forever to provide for the population... the population will continue to grow as there is no death.
If we lived forever without aging, it means experts would continuously become more expert and never slow die/lose the expertise as they sage and die. This means scientific and technological progress would greatly accelerate and the economy will become increasingly more automated.

yes but the mega rich would still find a way to benefit from this, so nothing would fundamentally change. they're not going to let go of their power that easily.

but it still doesn't make sense that everyone would have to work forever.

It would actually be more random. Since the infinite amount of life experiences do not lead to a single outcome. This would have the most unique society of authentic decision making. So no, economics would not be automated, but opportunity would be.

The idea that everyone should be the same at some point is the wrong idea.
We will become more different, and that would be preferable.
If there are people that don’t want to work 15 hours a day, they should have the freedom to do so. And everyone understand that hard work is the causation of money, so one day the economic hyerarchy should be widely accepted as it’s an over-view of free will.

well okay

but it still doesn't make sense that everyone would have to work forever.
People decide to work or not.
If the person wants to work forever, then they do what they want.
The meaning of life is fun, and the definition of fun is concluded differently from person to person.

what

imagine the best scientists and engineers alive today and they never die or slow down, just keep working and researching for centuries on end

this would lead to radical technological development

Yes, I get your reasoning. But I’m talking about those that are not the best to have to potential to one day be the best. By increasing the quantity of high quality people, the effort required for a new advancement would be cut in half by every genius to exist at the same moment.
