from the 21-24th of april there is a massive marxism conference in melbounre (probably elsewhere too I guess) and issues of feminism and gender are the main topics other than how the jew media is controlling everything to destroy democracy and steal all the money from teh poor
as far as I can tell there isn't actually anything on racism at all

well there's the issue of kids being far more gullible and easily manipulated in primary school, whereas at university if you believe everything you're taught and every opinion the lecturer puts forward than honestly you shouldn't be there.

I was shocked when I found out the narrative about 'no one could find a way across the blue mountains' was a lie to stop convicts from trying to escape down around picton & bowral where there is no fucking mountains

no one at newcastle cares, like at all. the only thing I see is the occasional socialist poster for some seminar about THE TRUTH ABOUT THE LIBYA IMPERIALISM or whatevs. There's usually a women's day event but it's more like just another excuse for a social event than a political thing. I feel like I'm missing out on a key part of the uni experience by never getting harassed by socialo-feminists with leaflets.

i dont think actual hardline socialiam has any chance of getting anywhere in this society though obviously there are socialist influences in economic policy etc

People always talk shit about their jobs because, well, it is a job... Nobody is meant to like having a job.. We all want to win the lottery and never have to work again.

Teaching is basically what the teacher makes of it. At every school, you can tell the teachers that want to be there and the teachers that don't. The teachers that put effort in and the teachers that grab an overhead 5 minutes before the lesson. The kids can tell that too.
