UAI: 98.7

I didn't test it on SAM since I found out that it would be a bit off. So happy with it, and I'll be able to do actuarial studies on UNSW. But the only good thing I've heard about it is the money :( One of my friends said it's the most suicidal career path 0_o and an actuary himself said if you were to take the specialist course, it's basically 10 years of no life. WTF!? My hair will be white when I'm 30!

Anyone else interested in actuary? Can u tell me anymore positive things about the course? Cos I'm kinda discouraged right now... Maybe I'll change my mind, I dunno...

My mum wants me to do actuarial studies, mainly for the money, but i don't really want to because it's too much maths, and as much as i like maths, i don't think i am THAT commited to it. What is the UAI needed for actuarial studies at UNSW? Because ur UAI is similar to mine, and i didn't think my UAI was enough for actuarial studies.

I know about Maq. But you have to be realistic as well, you know. I mean, if there are group projects, I'll have to go all the way there and back again, and I live in Kenso, and have some activities here, too. It'll just be too hectic!

To seabiscuit, to enter actuary in UNSW, UAI is 96.00 and that's B Com or BCom/BA or BCom/BSocSc F/P or BCommerce/B Science F.
Additionally, you need a UAI of 99.35 if you combine it with Law, which is a no no for me.

Btw Seabiscuit, it says in a booklet I got from UNSW that "a UAI of 97 or more is usually a good indicator of reasonable prospects of success in obtaining exemptions from the actuarial professional courses"
