Here is how I am going so far in all my subjects:

Subject - Internal Raw Marks out of 100 - Rank

5. Chemistry - 83.7% - 1-2/14
6. Physics - 85.6% - 1-2/25

Keeping in mind I hope to get the following in my HSC exams [Raw Marks]!

I need to know - Are my ranks good? Which is MORE important - Internals or External HSC mark?
I'm aiming for 95+ UAI...should I be able to get it?

Why would school matter - if it did, wouldn't that defeat whole purpose of moderating developed by BOS?

Low 90s as in 90.0 to 90.95+ or 90-94?

Rankings matter because you are not first in your year. Not being able to come first in a not-so-well ranked school says a lot of your abilities in contrast with the whole state. You are right, moderation will bring you to where you really are in the state, which is lower than what you are now in your school.

With regards to Moderation - just to clear things up:

Let's say the following:
- I ranked 10th out of 36 for Advanced English
- School Assessment: I scored 72.
- HSC Exam: I score 79
- HSC Exam 10th Highest Mark was 75.

After Moderation, will my scores be as follows:
- School Assessment Mark: 75
- HSC Exam Mark: 79
- Aligned HSC Mark: 77

That is essentially correct. Provided that 10th highest score is in fact 75, which will depend of the quality of your cohort.

Plugging those scores into SAM with slight scaling depending on subject.. and I get 95+..... is this accurate?

50%+ of your year getting over Band 5 in 3U Maths? I highly doubt that. Same for your 4U, SOR, Chem and Phy. Your estimation in Eng is the only fair one.

Ask you teacher of your school's percentage of cohort getting over a certain mark (eg band 5) for a subject. You seem to have hugely overestimated yourself and your cohort.

What do you mean by "slight scaling"?
Just a note: when you plug mark in SAM, it will automatically scaled it for you depending on the mark plugged and its relation to the state performance.

I think you can get a UAI of 90-94 at max. But try as hard as you can you might surprise yourself and get 95.
btw, why does your signature say an aim of 99.95?

* Advanced English --> ~23/32 with 58% School Assessment Mark
* Studies of Religion --> 58/62 with 47% School Assessment Mark

* Physics --> 1/14 with 79% School Assessment Mark

Um...

I don't think it will still make a huge difference, you know. He basically performed better than you in all his subjects except English Adavanced and SOR. But considering that your cohort would be academically upper than the last year's, you will probably look at 93.
