how big should my palm cards be? my teacher said they should be as big as when u fold an a4 page twice, but that seems way too big. So what should i do, make them small and 'normal size' or do what my teacher says, btw she is very strict and mean.

mine were about the size of my palm... which is veryyy small lol, about the length of a lipstick. i liked to grip my fingers around them. just make them whatever size you are comfortable with, you won't get marked down, trust

For me, I usually make palm cards that are concealable within the palm of my hand, because the most brilliant speeches only uses palm cards as a backup, you should be so familiar with your speech that you wouldn't need to read off palm cards, because having a larger palm card is distracting when you do hand gestures or when you want to emphasise a point.

I recommend that you try not to rely on palm cards as much as possible.

Once you start university, there's an expectation that you won't need palm cards. If you require aids, usually a visual presentation will suffice.

If you can't memorise your speech, I have a pretty good suggestion for you.
Make the font on your palm cards relatively large so that you can maintain near constant eye contact with the audience. You only need to glance down quickly at your palm cards.

Should memorize about 85-90% of your speech, and the rest is on your cards. They should be as large as your palms - as everyone has already mentioned.
