i have strong opinion, but only talks about them and never acts (my friends are all very sick of me talking about them already, and if i do something, they prob think i'm even more crazy)

and i don't like any political parties, but don't have enough support to start my own.

hmm there are a lot of people out there like that, but i guess i didnt really agree with the proposals of marxism-leninism (Democratic Socialist Perspective) , but I heard them out read all their books and realised that it is most alike what i believe so i rolled with it, you should start investigating and reading platforms, i guess what makes the revolutionary left so attractive is that most of the party leaders work for nothing, get nothing out of it, and work so exceptionally hard that it is a demonstration that opportunists really cant survive in that environment, they get no where. There is heeps more reading and intellectual activity compared to say the Labour Party and in wollongong our branch is more active then the greens who used to run this seat, its a credit to how much work other people (not so much my self) put in... I take it when you say strong, your hard left? Not hard right?

One extra generation of people voting is nothing.

But the propaganda power of one person over a generation is infinite.

In Summer2004, my 70ish aunt dragged me to Hillsong Church..in QLD.

It was frightening and they forced me to donate money (tithe) that would go to my mansion in heaven. *cough* This particular church had a million dollar airconditioning system....hmm...

Some guy said that their church was better than any other and I should join. I declined very very politely.
Sure the singing is sometimes catchy, but they're not very friendly to outsiders/asians/aliens.
I have to say, its a pretty modern way of preaching; motivational speakers, hawaiian shirts, christian rock band...etc

To add to futher annoyance on my behalf, my aunt forced me to get some information package thingo which i promptly binned when I returned to NSW. Pfft as if i'm going to listen to 10 hours of evangelical preaching on tape.
At least I got free food. Yay. Bahahaha...evil evil experience.

However I must say my aunt is infatuated by the entire thing....each to their own.

There all about singing and in a creepy way. I went ot a catholic school right so i got decesitised to a lot of stuff, but when i see them signing and dancing (well sort of) about, with a mass group of people holding their hands up to heaven I always htink "They're crazy, really crazy", and they often talk with a different tone, frealy tone ot me. I've tried hard ot look at them otherwise but I still only see what I see...scariness.

I remember when evangelical people came to my high school, st.schols, and did like a day of activities with us, they where ssuposed to teach us stuff. I can't remember anything really of it now but that we sang soem songs, adn back when I was ignorant, I asked our group leader a question, which never replied to....it was "If god is all-powerful, all-great, and all-forgiving, then can't even murderers and other bad people get into heaven too...I man wouldn't that be an all forgiving god! Why do they have to go to hell? What can you say to that?" He said nothing. I eman now that I am religious myself and understand such things it's easy enough to answer....."If those bad people, murderers and such, you speak of ask god for forgiviness and mean it in thier hearts then they will be forgiven and go to heaven with the others. But then they become good people odn't they, realising that they did bad, meant they became good, adn asked fogiveness of our Lord all-mighty, jesus christ". something like that I believe. If someone asked me in muslim terms, I'd say the same thign but add...:"because god can see what lies in the breast of men, if he couldn't then it wouldn't be god..." and finish off with.."nad asked forgiveness of Allah, for it says he is merciful, forgiving. But not like us, we will never know what such a pure forgiveness feels like, until jannah (heaven) if that is your course. It is forgiveness from a love great than all the most caring most loving unconditinal love of all the mothers to ever exist on this earth...now that's a lota love!"(black man accent!)

I just cannot believe he couldn't answer it! Something as simple as that about his own religion to a young little girl! He could have got me on board if he had. Fool. Well it was not my destiny, alhamdulillah for that!

hmm, if i was asked that question when i was younger i would have laughed at the questioner... and a fully grown man couldnt answer that?

lol it almost tempts me to go to those preachers (and that woman that gave ma a pamphlet about jesus and verses from the bible) and ask them ALOT harder questions.

Why not! everyone on these forums has done it to muslims! and do it else where so why not. they say, treat your peeps and neighbours how u wish to be treated, so treat them as they treat u and let them see how it feels....but then that wouldnt be very muslim of us now would it. patience and calm attitude, and calm speech to all htose that wish to listen.

yes, but it would be mean, because if i was to ask them here, these guys can do a quick search and find an answer, it is different than being put on the spot.

How funny is it when muslims laugh at the christians or christians laugh at the muslims... what a bunch of idiots. Both your faiths rest on a foundation of bullshit, I suggest before you go criticising another faith you first examine your own.
