1. Is the deadline midnight tonight or midnight tomorrow night?

2. If we accept an offer in the main round, would we still receive offers in the later rounds?

I think it's best to do the preferences before midnight tonight to be safe.

I would say no. Midnight implies the transition from one day to another, i.e. at 24:00, so 24:00 for the 4th January would be that instance between the 4th and 5th January.

For the sake of everyone from now on, can UAC write it as 11:59 so there be less confusion?????

I always thought Jan 4 midnight is Jan 4 12:00am, so that means 11:59pm 59sec tonight is our last chance to change our prefs? Mine are sorted out already anyway though....

Is it probable that multiple offers will be given to the one applicant. e.g if I have commerce as my first preference, but say like arts second, is it possible I may receive an offer for both?

Thanks, I also just managed to find the answer on the uac site right after my post - "You can receive only one offer in each offer round. That offer will be to the highest preference for which you are eligible and competitive enough"

yeah, that summarises it nicely.

Otherwise the cutoffs for all the courses would be higher and many courses would go unfilled because people would get offers but not actually ever intend on doing the course.

How do we get our offers on the 16th? Is it online acceptance or through the mail?

Some offers are to be accepted online whereas some other unis may require you to fill in the letter UAC sends you to hand in on enrolment day eg. USyd. But for the uni you got an offer from - they will send you an information package of some sort. :)
