Hey Guys, my preference @ UNSW is just 0.15 ATAR points lower, do i have enough leeway to make it into the course?

Depends on how the cut-offs move. You can't predict it so you have to wait and hope for the best.

You can't yet - they will be announced when they annouce what courses people are in - they won't know until the first round preferences are awarded what the cut-offs are.

but even with 99 ATAR if you had a UMAT less than 80 you wouldn't receive an interview at UNSW.

If so, your ATAR is defs sufficient for that.. you could have a decent chance.. if your interview went well.
