I know this is really simple, but I don't think I have learnt it.

How would you evaluae sin^2 30?

Is is sin900?

or 0.5 x 0.5

it's just looks neater to write (sin(30))^2 as sin^2(30)

LHS=sin@/(1+cos@)

=sin@(1-cos@)/(1-cos@)(1+cos@)

[all i done above was multiply numerator and denominator by 1-cos@]

=sin@(1-cos@)/(1-cos^2@)

=sin@(1-cos@)/sin^2@

=1-cos@/(sin@)

=RHS
