I haven't been an amazing student in general, getting 89% in my trial and only being ranked equal third in my cohort, but I've been doing a few practice papers where I've been getting low-mid 90s and I was wondering how high I'd need to score to get a state rank. I'm thinking that with a favourable exam where I cut down on silly errors I might be able to get a 96-97 raw mark, would that be enough?

I think someone in 2011 at my school got 98 raw and came like 18th or something.
So I assume I'd need a minimum of 97 then? Also, how do you find out raw marks, isn't it only the scaled mark published in HSC results?

the aligned mark is published in results. you can however pay to get your raw back.
