they can leave the religion too, but its growing meaning people choose to stay in the religion rather than leave it

I was talking about how the amounts of people in the religion are counted If I said right now, without reading a page of the Quran and knowing little about it, 'I'm a muslim', would I be part of that statistic?

nah cuz i don't think ppl are converting after reading one page from the Quran (or any religion for that matter)

that although people have the oppurtunity to easily leave the relgion, they choose to stay. There must be some sort of connection people feel with islam. If it was oppressive, why would all of these people choose to stay? The point is, islam, to alot of people, is what they like, and they aren't being forced into anything, they can't be, proving that the religion isnt oppressive

yeah religion is a pretty big deal, they mightve been inspired by andrew tate but they obviously did their own research to decide that they want to be part of islam right

Just because the followers aren't oppressed doesn't mean the rest of humanity don't feel oppressed by it. For example, LGBTQ. The religion is oppressive towards them, regardless if they are in it or converted or whatever.

the religion is against it, doesnt mean its oppressive. Theres a difference between being opressive, and not agreeing with a certain ideology. I agree that some people portray themselves to be really oppressive against it, but then again, thats also in the lgbtq community, some people in that community are really against religion and that could be considered 'oppressive' to people of relgiion

They may feel oppressed, but at the end of the day we live in a free country and they are free to be LGBTQ. Certain religions will be against it, as will certain cultures and people.
