Hi guys!
My name is Dr Vidya Bandodkar and I am offering specialist tutoring for Years 7-10 Science and Year 11/12 Chemistry. I come with over 20 years of secondary school teaching experience, whereby I have been a junior science and senior Chemistry teacher with the NSW Department of Education for 15 years and have spent five years teaching college level Chemistry to advanced curriculum students in the United States of America. I also hold Australian tertiary qualifications in Education as well as a PhD in science.
My tutoring experience is vast and has spanned well over a decade, during which time I have taught over 400 students from schools such as The Kings School, Knox Grammar School, Barker College, Catherine McCauley, Baulkham Hills High School, Girraween High School, Penrith High School, Crestwood High School, Castle Hill High School and The Ponds High School, to name a few. I have had students attain first in course rankings at Castle Hill High School, Penrith High School and Girraween High School.
My pedagogy revolves around a rigorous yet supportive approach to learning, whereby I hope to accelerate students through course content whilst assessing individual ability through mock exam questions completed in a small group class under my direct supervision.
All my tutoring services are held in my office located in Bella Vista (2765). My rates start at $30/hour and come with a complimentary, obligatory-free trial lesson to see if these lessons are the right fit for your child. My mission over my career has been to teach students not just mastery of their coursework, but also to instil a supportive sense of discipline in a student’s approach to their studies.
