Re: General Thoughts: Business Studies

Ok, for question 19 about the cash flow, did anybody do profitability?
Seeing as cash flow only records inflows and outflows of cash as they come or leave the business i thought it was profitability.
However, everyone seems to be saying it was liquidity.
Somebody clarify?
I did profitability aswell for the same reason

I said liquidity, because liq. is the businesses ability to meet short term debt. and The statement shows that, how much money you have. It doesnt show net profit/gross or anything like that. I know it doesnt show assests and liabilities either but it still determines the ability for a business to meet its liabilities.

I put b too.. I chose it because of the 'senor positions' bit which relates to the recruitment process etc. hope its right!

also because of this act -Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999- ensures selection and promotion on the basis of merit and that women have equal access to opportunities.

Fairly confident this is A.

EEO only applies before the employee is actually employed.

Besides, anti-discrimination issues derive from when 'a person is treated unfairly because they possess a certain characteristic'.

Hence A.

I thought it was the other way around, i though eeo was specifically for after they had been employed...
Edit: EEO:process of ensuring female employees in the workplace are treated fair and equal. Considering it specifically says female, I would think It meant this?

Re: General Thoughts: Business Studies

EEO promotes access and equality in achieving the same level of employment as other australians. B looks fairly correct

I don't think so tbh mate.

EEO - Equal Employment Opportunity --> basically to ensure that when in the employment process, certain characteristics don't hinder one's chances.

It's clear from the question that the women were already employed as Riley was trying to 'ensure women have better access'.
