Hello one and all - sorry about the delay in opening the thread, I was otherwise occupied!! To all the returning students - boohoo to holidays being over!! To the first years, please ask any questions you may have here and we'll all endevour to help you.

Hope everyone is having a good day and that nothing has - as of yet - been too daunting.

I'm really liking the new kebab and sushi places downstairs at Wenty - yay for decent food.

Are you talking about the 'Uni Brothers' kebab place? Had lunch there today; was a decent feed for about $10.

Nothing has changed. I'm going to get the linear lecture notes from Kopystop and stop bothering with 8am lectures.

Otherwise, anyone knew what happened in protein biochem today? Couldn't be bothered attending.

Oh and I liked playing "spot the first years". So funny.

lol I did a bit of that.

I also noted that there are a lot more good looking guys this year. I walked into the campus and they were EVERYWHERE. It is going to be a good year :uhhuh:

Other than that, only had one lecture for Psych, and it was pretty good!

Oh yeah! It was nice walking around, then I entered the lecture theatre, and realised that there aren't many good looking ones doing medsci . In fact, I realised there are a lot of asians doing medsci.

yup! it's worse at around 5 mins to every hour. people stream out from everywhere!!! it's quiter during the hours, except for lunch

Well i rocked up 1/2 way thru the only lecture i had today (stupid late bus ) so i didnt really get to meet any new ppl . Apart from dat my first day was ok

I had to go for one 1hour lecture and that's it so that was a bit annoying having to travel for 1 1/2 hours for that...but yeah the lecturer was nice.

I rocked up thinking I had a prac (so not in the mood) but it doesn't start til week 3. That cheered me up. I saw some of my mates in my lectures, glad to know I wasn't all alone. But I had that sinking realisation that summer is indeed over... uni is back... and now I gotta work

hope you get Carlos as your lab demo for protein biochem this semester. I had him last year, and he was brilliant. Always very helpful! If you get Andrea, I feel so sorry for you she's a biatch. :burn:

Yes, until March the 31st which is the census date, otherwise known as the last day to bail from Uni - the numbers drop significantly after then, and when you come back after mid-term break, you'll notice less people.

lol... I spent an hour trying to find Fisher Library before realising it was right near the quadrangle
