I considering to drop extension 2 maths. I'm not sure what do to. I'm finding the work difficult without a tutor. Should I drop Ext. 2 and focus/ ace my 2U and 3U exams or keep 4U and get a tutor?

BTW. How is the scaling for Ext2? What raw mark will get me into the top band?

Do the subjects in which you're good at. No point doing ext 2 when you struggle immensely.

Are you finding a great amount of the content hard to learn? A tutor might solve this and help you understand the concepts, but there is clearly no guarantee that you will do well.

Ext 2 is a very high scaler. The raw mark for E4 is usually around 65-70%.

Try looking for a tutor and see if that works out. If you are still struggling then, you should consider dropping out.

Yeah, I would suggest you find a good tutor. Maybe the reason you find it difficult is because your teacher cannot teach properly. Then if you see no difference, you could consider dropping. There are a lot of people I know who REALLY excel at maths but choose not to do it anyway.

Raw mark cut-off for an E4 is usually 62.5% (in old format).
